“I was afraid to be alone,” Lopez said, sharing a montage of clips of her rehearsals and choreography planning. “I didn’t know what to do alone.”
She also addressed the public’s reaction to her many failed romances, and how she tried to keep her feelings private from the world.
Lopez shared, “I’m sure people on the outside looking in were saying, ‘What’s this girl’s problem?’ “What I presented to the world was, ‘Oh, it didn’t work out, and it’s OK and I’m good and they’re good.’ And it was all kind of nonsense.”
The documentary details the creative process behind their latest venture, but also the stress and thrilling excitement of taking the risk of self-financing a unique cinematic experience that hinges on public interest and the success of their new music.

Lopez worked closely with her husband while working on her new projects and said that their high-profile romance played a large role in inspiring her music.
Lopez and Affleck famously dated early on and got engaged before calling it off and eventually separating in 2004. They rekindled their romance in 2021, and they got married a year later.

“The album I made was very honest, wanting to capture this moment in time of reconnecting with love,” said Lopez, whose project tells a fictional version of her rekindled romance.
