The NFL has reached its Final Four teams, and the San Francisco 49ers (+145) remain the favorites to win Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas.
After narrowly avoiding a win against the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round, the 49ers will host the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship Game next week. The 49ers are favored by a touchdown.
Baltimore’s chances are second-best after a 34-10 win over Houston in the divisional round. Lamar Jackson should win the MVP trophy this season, and he showed it in a dominant second half as the Ravens shut out the Texans 24–0 after halftime. Baltimore has a chance for a field goal next week against Kansas City.
If you’re not a Ravens, Chiefs, or 49ers fan, you’re probably now rooting for the beloved underdogs: the Detroit Lions.
Detroit has the longest odds to win the Super Bowl with +700 entering next week’s NFC Championship. The Lions are big underdogs next week and – using the betting power rankings – the Lions will be underdogs to both the Ravens and Chiefs in the Super Bowl if they upset the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.
Kansas City will be playing in its sixth consecutive AFC Championship game. Patrick Mahomes has advanced to the AFC title game in each of his six years starting for the Chiefs and was 3-2 in the last five trips. The Chiefs defeated the Bills 27–24 in the divisional round after Tyler Bass missed a field goal in the final two minutes of regulation.
The Chiefs start as betting favorites (+600) for this year’s Super Bowl after winning Super Bowl LVII against Philadelphia last year. San Francisco opened at +900, Baltimore opened at +1800 and Detroit opened at +2500. The Lions were favored by early betting as they began the season at +2200 to win the Super Bowl at BetMGM.
Super Bowl MVP Odds
The Super Bowl MVP market is up and Jackson is the favorite to win that award. This is interesting because usually the favorite team’s starting quarterback is the frontrunner to win the MVP award, as it seems to always be the default for the quarterback. Cooper Kupp won MVP for the Rams in Super Bowl LVI.
