Check out the companies making headlines after hours. Discover Financial Services – Shares of Discover Financial Services fell nearly 7% after it reported fourth-quarter earnings. The financial services company reported quarterly revenue of $4.20 billion, beating estimates of $4.10 billion, according to analysts surveyed by LSEG. GAAP earnings of $1.54 per share were not immediately comparable. Alcoa – Shares fell nearly 3% after the aluminum producer reported fourth-quarter earnings. Alcoa reported a narrower-than-expected adjusted loss of 56 cents per share, compared with an expected loss of 86 cents per share, according to analysts polled by LSEG. Revenue of $2.60 billion came in line with estimates. HB Fuller – Shares of HB Fuller slipped nearly 1%. For the fourth quarter, the company reported adjusted earnings of $1.32 per share, better than the FactSet consensus estimate of $1.27 earnings per share. Revenue of $902.9 million came in below the expected $929.9 million. Talos Energy – Shares of the oil and gas company fell 5% after Talos Energy issued fourth-quarter revenue guidance of between $380 million and $395 million, while analysts surveyed by FactSet had expected $393.5 million. It also announced a $300 million underwritten public common stock offering and plans to use the net proceeds to fund part of the acquisition of QuarterNorth Energy. Plug Power – by Plug Power B. The developer of hydrogen fuel cell systems dropped nearly 15% after disclosing a $1 billion sale of common stock with Relay Securities. It closed at $2.74 per share on Wednesday.
